Originally from Ottawa, Michael, along with his wife and two children, have called Gananoque home since 2017. For the last five years, Michael has been an ally of Legacy Homes and has been immersed in attempting to dismantle barriers to affordable and accessible housing throughout Leeds and Grenville. Michael is a firm believer that community includes everyone and has focused his academic and professional career around co-creating more inclusive communities. Michael has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Disability Studies from Ryerson University and is currently completing a Master of Business Administration in Community Economic Development from Cape Breton University. Michael is a community builder and believer of Asset Based Community Development and Community Economic Development frameworks. In building on Legacy Homes grassroots history, Michael is enthusiastic about the future leadership role that Legacy Homes can play in reshaping the landscape of affordable and accessible housing throughout Leeds and Grenville. By striving to ensure that all people have access to an affordable, sustainable, and chosen place to call home, he believes that we can strengthen our communities and economies, while improving the livelihoods of all of our neighbours today and in the years to come.​​
